WHAT IS COACHING?
Put simply, Coaching is about getting clear on what you want to do, making a plan and doing it. Goal-focused, it's about bridging the gap from where we are now to where we want to be through focused, practical steps.
WHAT IS NLP?
Neuro-Linguistic Programming is often referred to as an instruction manual for your mind. It looks at the way in which we think and process our thoughts (Neuro), the language patterns we use (Linguistic) and our behaviours (Programming) and how these interact to have a positive (or negative) effect on us as individuals.
It's a collection of tools and techniques to better understand how the mind works (the subconscious) & our behaviours to bring about powerful change in you and others. It is used in personal development and for success in business.
HOW DOES COACHING DIFFER FROM COUNSELLING OR THERAPY?
Whereas counselling and therapy predominantly focus on negative past issues and influences, Coaching is more forward-looking, focusing on future goals and positive, practical steps to take here and now. Coaching is more about evolving and improving rather than healing or understanding and is typically for a defined, shorter term (whereas therapy is more ongoing and open-ended).
WHAT ARE YOUR CREDENTIALS?
I am an accredited Personal Performance Coach and certified NLP Practitioner. I gained my Personal Coaching qualification through The Coaching Academy – the original training body for Life Coaches in the UK.
My NLP certification is internationally recognised by the American Board of NLP and the ANLP in the UK.
WHAT DO YOU OFFER OVER OTHER COACHES
My fresh, open and practical approach gets results. Sessions will be wholly positive and enjoyable and you will learn so much about yourself. Quite simply, I’m your champion within this crazy world we live and I will work tirelessly with you to get you where you want to be. But don’t take my word for it, please check out my testimonials.
“Olivia's style of coaching was very gentle and encouraging and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone."
WHERE WILL THE SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
I personally find that the face to face interaction is really important at the start of the coaching relationship, so ideally I would always recommend for the first couple of sessions to be in person. These will take place in a quiet West London coffee shop. Or if the weather is nice, we can meet in the park. After the first couple of sessions, if meeting in person is proving tricky, we can continue the coaching relationship over the phone or via Skype - whichever works best for you.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED AND HOW LONG ARE THEY?
Should you decide to choose me as your Coach, you would sign up for a package of 6, 9 or 12 sessions. Each session is 1 hour, other than the first session which will be 1.25 hours.
Typically sessions will be fortnightly but timings can be tailor-made to suit you.
WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?
My rates are always competitive and vary based on the number of sessions that are booked in advance. For information on pricing and payment plans, please email or call me directly on +44 (0) 7714 280 486.
HOW DO I GET STARTED / LEARN MORE?
I offer all new clients a free 15 minute phone consultation to discuss whether coaching is right for them and if there is a fit between my experience and approach and the individual’s situation and goals.
Click here to email me, or you can give me a call on +44 (0) 7714 280 486.
WILL MY INFORMATION BE SHARED WITH ANYONE?
The Coaching relationship is completely confidential. The content of our discussions will not be shared with anyone.
HOW QUICKLY WILL I MAKE PROGRESS?
All my previous clients have felt energized for the future after their first session and can see the progress they are making within the first couple of sessions.
However, it is important to stress that progress is dependent on you. Coaching is not about waving a magic wand. It relies on complete commitment from both you and me. We will need to work hard but it will be fun and a truly positive, energising experience!
“After only six sessions I have already progressed far more than I could have ever imagined I would”.
WHAT BRINGS PEOPLE TO COACHING?
People seek out Coaches for a number of reasons, for example:
Support through a life change: Finding yourself at a roadblock (in life, career, relationship etc) and wanting and needing a change but unsure how to take the first step.
Life balance: Juggling too many spinning plates and feeling like you are doing everything and nothing.
Reaching aspirations: Needing some support and focus in reaching your clearly defined personal and professional goals.
Business growth: Seeking support, challenge and space to help grow your business.
Confidence and self-belief: Negative self-beliefs and thought patterns intruding on your everyday life.
Self-improvement: Finding that you have become a shadow of your best self.
Lack of direction: Feeling a little directionless and perhaps no longer seeing yourself as the lead character in your life.
Loss of identity: Finding that a new life role (eg becoming a mother) has thrown up all kinds of self-identity questions.
HOW CAN A COACH HELP ME IN MY LIFE/WORK?
As your Personal Coach, I am not here to tell you what to do. You're the expert on you, whereas I'm the expert on the coaching process. All the answers lie within you. I’m here to help you access them, without the use of advice. You will be more committed and motivated to taking action on a plan made by you, than one offered by someone else.
WHAT CAN A COACH OFFER THAT A FRIEND COULDN'T?
Friends are the best. Literally. They know us inside out and offer us advice whenever we need it. Whilst this can be helpful and supportive, sometimes it can make things more confusing. Their advice, while offered with the best intentions, can often make us feel more alone or confused. The reason being that everyone has their own worldview. No matter how well your friend knows you, they will still be offering their advice from a slightly different perspective to you. We can’t help but be subjective when it comes to friends. As your Coach, I will be completely objective, supporting you towards the answers yourself through honest, intuitive questioning.
